Q: I cant login even after I type in my username and password? What's up?
A: You need to have cookies enabled and allowed from the FileShack.com domain. IE Users: Go to your tools / options menu and look for privacy settings. Add the domain FileShack.com. Netscape users: Go to your Edit / preferences menu and in the advanced settings enable cookies
Q: I'm getting a bad password error
A: Go to the email password form and submit your username or email address. Try copy and pasting the password from your email
Q: I'm getting a 'someone else is downloading from another ip with this account' error
A: Your account is being used elsewhere on the internet. Always remember to logout from any machine you use outside of home. If you wish to cancel or change your account, contact billing
Q: My download accelerator wont work!
A: Although download accelerators are nice, they also have a habit of eating up all the available connections on servers and blocking out other FileShack users. For this reason we only allow a SINGLE connection.
Q: I click the "download now" button and nothing happens, what's up?
A: The go button triggers a javascript popup that will have your download info. We try to detect popup stoppers and warn users but cant catch them all. Be sure to disable your popup stopper software if you are using any.
Q: Ok I downloaded this file, now what?
A: Try unzipping or doubleclicking on the file, usually instructions are included. Also on the FileShack description page try clicking on the 'Author' link and looking for help there.

Q: My download fails in the first few megs of transfer, what is wrong?
A: This is a known issue that affects a few users. We are working very hard on correcting it, in the mean time here are some solutions:
- IE users, try disabling 'auto detect settings' by going to Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings.
- IE users, If you have an alternate browser such as Netscape or Opera, try using that
- Try temporarily disabling personal firewall software such as Blackice
- NAT users, try temporarily turning down security features or getting on a 'real' IP address
